What happens when you have an amazing product that you want the whole world to know about? The first thing you need to do is advertise. However, it is quite difficult to advertise your product if you have a very small budget or if you aren't sure when or if you will sell enough product to cover the cost. Incredibly, there is a form of advertising through your television's programming that is not only incredibly affordable, but it is also quite effective.

Short form TV is a direct response television commercial that runs anywhere from 30 seconds to 120 seconds in length. The vast majority of marketers find that 60 seconds is the perfect length to get the story behind their product out to the public and still create a strong call for action. Each product campaign team will have to determine the usefulness of shorter and longer direct response commercials and decide on the one that will be most beneficial for the particular product.

Most marketers, especially those with a new product, are on a very tight budget and have little set aside for their advertising budget. Through direct response short form TV these marketers are able to create an infomercial and then see the money come pouring in practically immediately. That's because through direct response advertising the phone number or web address is prominently displayed in each commercial. Since the contact information is provided there are more chances that the customer will be motivated to pick up the phone and complete their order. That's at least what the campaign manager for the product is hoping, as well as the marketer.

There are actually a couple of different ways to go about setting up your product or service in a direct response television commercial in short form. Some may like the idea of a traditional commercial format and just add the contact information into the commercial. Still others find miniature shows that have various 30 second segments that build on one another are more effective. As the marketer you have to decide what happens and help make a particular product launch a lift. Remember, with immediate funds coming in it is much easier to reinvest money into more research and development or even more advertisements to reach more potential customers.
